The fine print

All plans

• Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus GST. GST is added to every invoice.
• Payment is by Interac e-Transfer or credit card. Each invoice includes e-Transfer details and a secure link to pay by card.
• Card on file (optional): for monthly plans, you can keep a credit card on file and we'll charge it automatically at the start of each quarter. You'll get a receipt each time, and you can switch back to e-Transfer or update your card at any time. Card details are held securely by our payment processor — never by us.
• Late payment: invoices are due on receipt. If a payment is more than 14 days late, updates and support pause until it's paid. If it's more than 30 days late, hosting may be suspended until your account is brought up to date. Pausing service doesn't pause or reduce what's owed.
• Base build is 5 pages: Home, About, Services, Contact, plus one more of your choosing. Extra pages and features are add-ons, quoted before work starts.
• You provide the copy and photography. Writing and photos can be arranged separately.
• You own your code. Your site lives in a GitHub repository that belongs to you.
• Your domain stays in your name. We'll help you register or connect it, but you are the owner of record.
• Revisions during the build: we revise until the agreed design and scope feel right. New features or pages added mid-build are quoted as add-ons.

Build & Go $2,500 +GST one-time

Payment

• 50% deposit ($1,250 +GST) to book your project; 50% balance ($1,250 +GST) at launch.
• The GitHub repo is transferred to you once the balance is paid.

After launch

• 30 days of post-launch fixes: bugs, broken links and small text corrections. New pages or features are not included.
• Hosting is not included. You can host the site anywhere, or move to a Care Plan later.

Build & Maintain $1,000 +GST build, then $200/month +GST

Payment

• The $1,000 +GST build fee is due before work begins.
• The monthly plan starts on your launch date and is billed quarterly in advance: $600 +GST per quarter, due at the start of each quarter.

Minimum term

• The plan has a 12-month minimum term, starting on your launch date.
• The lower build fee is possible because of that commitment. If you cancel before 12 months, the remaining balance of the minimum term is due.
• After 12 months, the plan continues at the same rate, still billed quarterly in advance. Cancel any time with 30 days' written notice; the plan ends at the close of the quarter already paid.

What's included each month

• Hosting and SSL for as long as the plan is active.
• Daily speed check: your site is speed-tested automatically every morning, and we’re alerted if it slows down so we can fix it.
• Up to 3 hours of work per month for content updates, small design changes, security and backups. All plan work, including the items below, comes out of these 3 hours.
• Google reviews: your newest Google reviews are displayed on your site and refreshed weekly.
• SEO upkeep: page titles and descriptions, structured data, image optimization and site speed checks, plus updates to your Google Business Profile (hours, photos, posts).

The fine print on hours and SEO

• Unused hours don't roll over to the next month.
• Work beyond 3 hours in a month is billed at our hourly rate of $95/hour +GST, and we'll check with you before going over.
• New pages, new features and redesigns aren't maintenance. They're quoted as add-ons.
• SEO improves your chances of being found, but no one can honestly guarantee search rankings. We don't.

Code ownership

• You own the code from launch day. If you leave after your minimum term, we'll help move your site to a new host.

Care Plan $250/month +GST

• For websites we didn't build. We review your site before you sign up; some platforms or setups may not be a good fit, and we'll tell you honestly if yours isn't.
• Billed quarterly in advance: $750 +GST per quarter, due at the start of each quarter.
• No long-term contract. Cancel any time with 30 days' written notice; the plan ends at the close of the quarter already paid. Partial quarters aren't refunded.
• Up to 3 hours of work per month for updates, security and backups, with priority support response.
• Unused hours don't roll over. Extra work is billed at our hourly rate of $95/hour +GST, with your approval first.
• Hosting stays with your current provider. If you'd like us to move or host your site, we'll quote that separately.

Custom work & one-off jobs $95/hour +GST

• For anyone, on a plan or not: one-off fixes, updates and custom projects outside the packages above.
• Quoted up front. Before any work starts, we'll tell you what it will cost and get your OK. If a job turns out bigger than expected, we'll check with you before going past the quote.
• Minimum charge of $95 +GST per job.
• Larger projects get a fixed quote, not an open-ended hourly bill.
• The same rate applies to work beyond the monthly hours included in a Build & Maintain or Care Plan.

Not included in any plan

• Copywriting and photography (available separately).
• Domain registration fees and email hosting.
• Third-party subscriptions, such as booking tools, paid plugins or payment processor fees.
• Paid advertising (Google Ads, social media ads).
